potatoes are grown under ground how do they contain starch when photosynthesis occurs in the green leaves above the ground

The potatoes are grown under the ground but it contain starch ..because the potatoes are partially under the ground the leaves part is above the ground..and it is green ..hence it produce starch by photosynthesis
