Potential at a point x distance from the center inside the conducting sphere of radius R and charged with charge Q is given as:

  1. We know that V=E.dr
  2. Also Electric field inside conducting sphere, E=0
  3. And E= -∆V/∆R ( here ∆ is used for partial differentiation)
  4. But from above E=0, So

∆V/∆R=0

5. That implies V= Constant

6. And we know that Potential at centre of conducting sphere, V= KQ/R ( R= Radius)

7. So for any distance x from centre of sphere, potential at x= potential at centre

8. Hence, V=KQ/R
