Potential difference And Current--

Potential difference is formed beause of electric field. And electric field is formed by the charge particles which are at rest.

Potential difference determines the direction of motion of electric current in a conductor. Beacuse when there is potential difference is set up then only current flows.( And yes, not always.)

Current Flows from higher potential to lower potential where as electron flows opposite to the flow of current which is lower to higher.

Higher potential means positive or more positive and lower potential means negative or low positive.
