potential difference is defined as: the work done in moving a charge from on point to another . potential difference =work÷charge
V=W÷q
here W=work=F.D
q=charge
so V=F.S÷q
V=Nm÷C
V=kgms^_2 .m÷C
V=MLT-2.L÷C
C=charge which is equal to q= It
I=ampere=A
t=time=sec


so u get V=MLT-2.L÷AT
V=ML^2T-2÷AT
