Pouring hot water into cold water

Initially when we will pour hot water in cold water then the hot water will remain at the upper surface because as we know that density of hot water is lesser than cold one. Now as we can see that there is temperature differnce between hot and cold water so phenomenon of heat transfer will take place and the heat will flow from hot water to cold water. After sometime the temperature of hot water goes down and its density starts increasing and the temperature of cold water rises so its density starts decreasing . Like this both waters starts mixing and a particular density and temperature is set up between them.

Hope it will help you!!!!!
