Ideally, a normal human eye can see objects clearly from 25 cm upto infinity. Our eye has the ability to adjust the focal length of its lens with the distance of the object from the eyes so that a clear image of the object is formed on the retina. This ability of the eye to adjust its focal length is called Power Of Accommodation.
This is performed by adjusting the lens by the ciliary muscle. Eye can adjust its focal length to obtain a clear image for an object at a distance of 25 cm and above.
