3 x 10^{5} J

We know,

Time (t) = 5 min = 300 s

Power (P) = I^{2}R = 1000 W

Heat Generated (E) = I^{2}Rt = Pt = 1000*300  = 3 x 10^{5} J

Answer:

P=1000 watt

Time=5 min=60×5=300 sec

heat=power x Time

heat=1000 x 300

Heat= 300000 joule/sec

heat = 300kj/sec
