- Power is shared among various parties in a democracy.
- Where on one hand the party in power exercises its power over various matters of legislation, the opposition parties too exercise their power by criticising the government's wrong and inappropriate policies.
- This is specially the case so when various parties form a coaltion or a front.
- When various parties join hands to win a majority support and a coalition government is formed, no one party can exercise supreme power and power has to be shared.
- The common citizens can also extend their influence on parties either by directly participating or via indirect ways. Hence power is shared.
