power sharing is good because it helps to reduce the possibility of conflict between social group
social conflict often lead to violence and political instability power sharing is a good way to ensure the stability of political order

1) power sharing among different organs of government
such as legislative executive judiciary it is also called the horizontal distribution of power because it allowed different organs of government plays at the same level to exercise different power .
judge are appointed by the executive they can check the functions meaning of Executive a law made by the legislature this arrangement is called the system of check and balance.
2) power can be shared among government at different level
general government for entire country and government at the professional or religion level.
such a General government for the entire country is usually called Federal government in India we refer to it as a central or union government .the government at the professional or religion level are called by different names in different country in India we call them state government this system is not followed in all country.
there are many countries where there's are not professional or state government but in those country like hours where there are different levels of government the constitutional clearly laid down the power of different levels of government that this is what they did in Belgium but was refused in Sri Lanka this is called Federal division of power.the same principle can be extended to level of government lower than the state government such as the municipality and panchayat. this is also called the vertical division of power

control or influence those in power in a democracy the citizens must have freedom to choose among various contenders for power. in contemporary democracy this state the form of competitions among different parties search competitions and sure that power does not remain in one hand in the long run power is shared among different political parties that represent different ideology and social group sometimes the kinds of sharing can be direct where two or more parties from an Alliance to contest election. if there Alliance is elected, they form a coalition government and the share power. in a democracy we find interest group such as those of traders Businessman industrialist, farmers and industries worker. they also will have a share in government power either through participations in government committee aur bringing influence on the decision making process
