There are two reasons for power sharing to be desirable- Prudential and moral reasons. Prudential reason are that it avoids conflicts. social conflicts leads to violence and political instability. imposing the will of majority community of minority may look like an attractive option in short run but later... it can undermine the unity of our nation moral reason for power sharing is the very spirit of democracy.A democratic rule involves power sharing with those who are affected by it.
