1) He appoints the prime minister and council of ministers

2) No bill can become an act without the president's signature

3) He may summon the house for joint sitting.

6) He appoints Cheif election commissioner, comptroller and auditor general, members of the Union public service commission.

7) He also appoints ambassadors and other diplomatic officers.

8) He is the supreme Commander of Indian Defence forces.

9) The president of India is ex officio visitor of 126 central Institutions.

10) He summons, prorogues and addresses the parliament and also can dissolve it.
