PQR IS A RIGHT ANGLED AT Q .PQ=5CM,QR=12CM.A CIRCLE IS INSCRIBED IN TRIANGLE PQR .FIND THE RADIUS OF CIRCLE.

THE RADIUS OF CIRCLE IS 6.5 CM or 13/2 CM.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

As shown in the figure below, PQ=5CM, QR=12CM

In triangle PQR,

PR^2= PQ^2 +QR^2

      =(5)^2+(12)^2

       =25+144

       =169

PR=\sqrt{169}  

       =13 cm

Also, PR=Diameter      [PQR IS A RIGHT ANGLED AT Q]

Radius=\frac{Diameter}{2}

           =\frac{13}{2}

Radius=6.5 CM.
