PQRS is a diameter of a circle of radius 6 cm. The lengths PQ, QR and RS are
equal, semi-circles are drawn on PQ and QS as diameters as shown in figure.

Find the perimeter and area of the shaded region

perimeter of shaded region= length of ps+length of arc PQ+ length of arc QS
=2×22/7×3 + 2×22/7×1 + 2×22/7×2
(132÷7)+(44÷7)+22÷7
18.86+6.28+3.14
28.28
