PQRS is a parallelogram.

PQ∥SR and SQ is a transversal.

∴  ∠RSQ=∠PQS            [ Alternate angles ]

⇒  48

o

=4x

⇒  x=

4

48

o

⇒  x=12

o

SP∥RQ and SQ is transversal.

∴  ∠PSQ=∠RQS        [ Alternate angles ]

⇒  63

o

=7y

⇒  y=

7

63

o

⇒  y=9

o

∴  The values of x and y are 12

o

 and 9
