Correct Question:-

PQRS is a parallelogram. QM is the height from Q to SR and QN is the height from Q to PS . If SR = 12 cm, QM = 7.6 cm and PS = 8 cm. Find the area of the parallelogram and length of QN.

Solution:-

We know that

Area of parallelogram = base × height

And after seeing figure we can easily say that -

  • height of parallelogram = QM = 7.6 cm
  • base of parallelogram = SR = 12 cm

Substitute the known values in above formula

⇒ SR × QM

⇒ 12 × 7.6

⇒ 91.2 cm²

Similarly, if QN is height and PS is base. Then,

Area of parallelogram = PS × QN

From above calculations area of parallelogram is 91.2 cm² and PS = 8 cm given.

So,

⇒ 91.2 = 8 × QN

⇒ 91.2/8 = QN

⇒ 11.4 = QN

⇒ QN = 11.4 cm

{\large\bf{\mid{\overline{\underline{Given:-}}}\mid}}

  • PQRS is a llgm.
  • SR = 12cm
  • PS = 8cm
  • QM = 7.6 cm .

\large\boxed{\underline{\mathcal{\red{Q}\green{u}\pink{e}\orange{s}\blue{ti}\red{on.??}}}}

  • we have to Find lenght of QN ?

\Large\underline{\underline{\sf{Solution}:}}

 \textbf{Refer To image First .. }

we know that Area of llgm is given by = Base × Height .

so, Area of ll PQRS = SR (Base) × QM(Height)

→ Area = 12 × 7.6 = 91.2 cm²

Now, we will take Base of llgm PQRS as PS and Height as QN .

Area = PS × QN

→ 91.2 = 8 × QN

→ QN = (91.2/8) = 11.4cm ...

  \green{\textbf{Hence, Height of llgm on Base}}  \\ \green{\textbf{PS is}} \:  \red{11.4cm}
