Correct Question:-
PQRS is a parallelogram. QM is the height from Q to SR and QN is the height from Q to PS . If SR = 12 cm, QM = 7.6 cm and PS = 8 cm. Find the area of the parallelogram and length of QN.
Solution:-
We know that
Area of parallelogram = base × height
And after seeing figure we can easily say that -
- height of parallelogram = QM = 7.6 cm
- base of parallelogram = SR = 12 cm
Substitute the known values in above formula
⇒ SR × QM
⇒ 12 × 7.6
⇒ 91.2 cm²
Similarly, if QN is height and PS is base. Then,
Area of parallelogram = PS × QN
From above calculations area of parallelogram is 91.2 cm² and PS = 8 cm given.
So,
⇒ 91.2 = 8 × QN
⇒ 91.2/8 = QN
⇒ 11.4 = QN
⇒ QN = 11.4 cm
- PQRS is a llgm.
- SR = 12cm
- PS = 8cm
- QM = 7.6 cm .
- we have to Find lenght of QN ?
we know that Area of llgm is given by = Base × Height .
so, Area of ll PQRS = SR (Base) × QM(Height)
→ Area = 12 × 7.6 = 91.2 cm²

Now, we will take Base of llgm PQRS as PS and Height as QN .
Area = PS × QN
→ 91.2 = 8 × QN
→ QN = (91.2/8) = 11.4cm ...
