first find the area of rectangle.
we get 98  cm^{2} .
then find the area of triangle.
we know that the base of the triangle PT is 8cm.
then the height is nothing but the breadth of the rectangle i.e, 7cm.
find the area of triangle.
we get 28  cm^{2} .
then subtract the area of triangle from area of rectangle.
we get 98 cm^{2} -28 cm^{2} =70  cm^{2}
therefore, the area of shaded region is 70 cm^{2} .
