the diagonal of a rhombus are perpendicular and bisect each other

given length of side is 100 cm and one diagonal as 160 cm

from the given figure, Let AC= 160 cm
so, OC and OA = 80 cm

now consider triangle OCB as a right angled triangle
we know that OC=80cm and CB=100 cm
using pythagoras theorm
(100)^2=(80)^2+(OB)^2

(OB)^2= (100)^2 - (80)^2

(OB)^2=3600
OB = 60

So the length of diagonal DB= 2*60= 120 sq.cm
