PQRS is a square. If PR=10 cm , then find the area of the square.​

Given:-

☆PQRS is a square.

☆PR(diagonal)=10cm

To find:-

☆Area of the square(PQRS)

Solution:-

We know that ,area of a square when a diagonal is given:-

=>1/2d²

=>1/2(10)²

=>1/2×100

=>50cm².

Thus,area of the square is 50cm².

PR = 10 cm

NOTE: PR is the diagonal of the square

FACT: diagonals of a square are equal

as square is a rhombus, we can use the formula of rhombus to find the area of the square.

1/2 * d1 * d2 = area

1/2 * 10 * 10

5 * 10 = 50

therefore, the area of the square is 50cm^2
