Hey mate..
=========

Given that,

SX = XP and RY = QY

and,

PQ = 60 cm and SR  = 40 cm

Thus, X and Y are the midpoints of the PS and Qr respectively.

Now,

XY = (40 +  60)/2

= 50 cm

Let h is the height of trapezium SRXY and height of trapezium PQRS is 2h

Now, ratio of Area of trapezium SRYX and Area of trapezium PQRS is

Area(trapezium SRYX)/Area(trapezium PQRS)

= {(40+50)*h/2}/{(40+60)*2h/2}

 =  90/(100*2)

 = 90/200

  = 9/20

Thus,

 Area(trapezium SRYX) : Area(trapezium PQRS) = 9 : 20

Hope it helps !!!

Anubhav111111392919: XY would be 40+60/2 i.e 50 but you wrote 60. How ?
