PQRS is the diameter of a circle of radius 6cm such that PQ =QR =RS. Semicircles are drawn on PQ and QS as diameters, as shown in the given figure. Find the area of the shaded region.

area of circle=πr^2=3.14*36=113.04

semicircle=1/2 circle=1/2*113.04=56.52 is answer
