The length of PR=(6+8\sqrt 3)cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius of circle=8 cm

OR=16 cm

OP=10 cm

OQ=8 cm

In triangle ORQ

OR^2=OQ^2+QR^2

Using Pythagoras theorem

(Hypotenuse)^2=(base)^2+(Perpendicular\;side)^2

(16)^2=8^2+QR^2

256=64+QR^2

QR^2=256-64=192

QR=\sqrt{192}=8\sqrt 3cm

In triangle OPQ

OP^2=OQ^2+QP^2

(10)^2=8^2+QP^2

100=64+QP^2

100-64=QP^2

QP^2=36

QP=\sqrt{36}=6 cm

PR=PQ+QR=(6+8\sqrt 3) cm
