1. in right angled Δ STP by pythagores theorem we have

PT² + ST² =PS²

ST² =PS²-PT² (1)

in right angled Δ PQR by pythagores theorem we have

RQ² + PQ² =PR²

RQ² =PR²-PQ² (2)

However given that

PR=PS and

PT=PQ

Hence RQ =ST

2. Given that

PR=PS

=> PT+ RT =PQ+SQ

But given thar

PT =PQ;

Hence RT=SQ
