Supplementary angles are two angles whose sum is 180 degrees while complementary angles are two angles whose sum is 90 degrees. Supplementary and complementary angles do not have to be adjacent (sharing a vertex and side, or next to), but they can be.

All adjacent angles do not form a linear pavir. From the above figure we can observe; OX and OY are two opposite rays and ∠XOZ and ∠YOZ are the adjacent angles.

The angles opposite each other when two lines cross. They are always equal. In this example a° and b° are vertically opposite angles.
