Given figure is of rectangle hence opposite sides are equal .

2x + Y + 8 = 4x - Y

X = 4

And

2y = X + 4

2y = 8

Y =4

Length = 4x - Y = 16 - 4 = 12

Breadth = 2y = 2 × 4 = 8

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 ( 12+ 8 ) = 40 unit

Area = L X B = 12 × 8 = 96 sq. unit
