Let the age of Prakash and Lokesh ten years ago be x and y respectively.

Making an equation,

x = y + 34 ----(1)

Also by,

x + y = 48

By substituting,

y + 34 + y = 48

Taking the like terms,

y + y + 34 = 48

2y + 34 = 48

By transposing,

2y = 48 - 34

2y = 14

Finding y,

y = 14/2

y = 7

Therefore, Lokesh's present age is 7 years.

Substituting the value of y in (1),

x + y = 48

x + 7 = 48

By transposing,

x = 48 - 7

x = 41

Therefore, Prakash's present age is 41 years.
