Answer:

11m² is the surface area she cover if she painted all except the bottom of the cabinet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

We have given that, Prameela painted the outer surface of a cabinet of measures 1mx 2m x 1.5m.

Here -

length = 1m, breadth = 2m and height = 1.5m

Substitute these values in above formula

⇒ 2(1×2 + 2×1.5 + 1.5×1) m²

⇒ 2(2 + 3 + 1.5) m²

⇒ 2(6.5) m²

⇒ 13 m²

Also given that, bottom of the cabinet is not painted. But all other area is painted.

So, Area of bottom = length × breadth

⇒ 1 × 2

⇒ 2 m²

So, Area painted by Prameela = Outer surface area of cabinet - Area of bottom

Substitute the known values

⇒ 13 m² - 2 m²

⇒ (13 - 2) m²

⇒ 11 m²
