surface area she covered if she painted all surfaces except the top and bottom of the
cabinet?

GiveN :

  • Length = 1 m
  • Breadth = 2 m
  • Height = 1.5 m

To FinD :

  • Area Painted by Prameela

SolutioN :

If Prameela painted surface of the cabinet, except bottom and top she painted whole cabinet. So, we've to find out Lateral Surface Area (Curved Surface Area) of the Cabinet.

Use formula for CSA of Cuboid as cabinet is in cuboidal shape.

\implies \rm{C.S.A = 2(Length + Breadth) \times Height}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

\implies \rm{C.S.A = 2(1 + 2) \times 1.5}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

\implies \rm{C.SA = 2(3) \times 1.5}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

\implies \rm{C.S.A = 6 \times 1.5}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

\implies \rm{C.S.A = 9}

\underline{\rm{\therefore \: Area \: painted \: by \: Prameela \: is \: 9 \: m^2}}

GivEn:-

  • Length of cabinet = 1m

  • Breadth of cabinet = 2m

  • Height of cabinet = 1.5m

To find:-

  • Area painted by Prameela i.e all the surface except the top and the bottom of cabinet.

SoluTion:-

If we find the surface area painted by Prameela i.e all the surface except top and the both. Then if we reduce the area of top and the bottom from total surface area of that cabinet therefore it become The Lateral/curved surface area of that cabinet.

As we know the Curved surface area of cuboid,
