 \underline{ \large{ \text{Question}}} :

 \text{Pramila said, ``My friend is weeping."} \\  \text{( Change into Indirect Speech )}

 \underline{ \large{\text{Answer}}} :

 \underbrace{Pramila\: \: said}_{ \text{Reporting Verb}} \: ,  \underbrace{``My \: \:  friend \:  \: is  \:  \: weeping."}_{ \text{Reported Speech}} \\  \\  \implies  \text{Pramila said that her friend was weeping.}

The Tense of the Reporting Verb is in Past Indefinite Tense so in Indirect Speech, the tense of the Reported Speech will be in Past Tense also. In this question, the Tense of the Reported Speech is in Continuous Tense form so it will be in Past Continuous Tense.

"Pramila" is a female name so "My" in Direct Speech will be "her" in Indirect Speech.

Narration is the art of expressing the words .

There are two ways of expressing / reporting the speech of a person.

Eg . He says to me , "You are my friend."
[Direct Speech]

=> He told me that I am his friend.
[Indirect Speech]

Rules for changing Narration:

• Change into :
say to => tell
says to => tells
said => said
said to => told

• Use that in place of inverted commas.

 \frac{son}{123}
• Change of Tense ( in this sentence only )
Present Continuous => Past Continuous .

Now the required Answer is :

Pramila said that her friend was crying .
