Pranav’s legs started aching after a 1000m race. He rested and practiced deep breathing. This gave him a lot of relief and the pain disappeared after some time. Why?

Pranav's legs felt better after resting and taking a deep breath because his legs were lacking oxygen which resulted in his legs anaerobic breathing which formed lactic acid. as a result his legs had cramps/they started hurting
