Prathik was a hardworking farmer . He taboured on his land from morning Sundown , but what he produced was just enough to feed him and his wife One afternoon , Prathik was tiring his field when he found some weeds growing in patches . Knowing that the weeds would take away the water and nutrition meant for his crops he decided to clear the field of them . Getting down on his knees , he began pulling out the weeds but they were stubbornly rooted . Prathik grabbed his spade and began digging around the roots to loosen the earth Klunck ... klunck ... The sound was unmistakable . The spade hit something hard and metallic . Prathik dug a little deeper and there right in the middle of the hole , was a pot filled with gold and silver . Prathik was overjoyed but he stopped dancing as abruptly as he had begun .On reaching told the story to his wife. Angry at what she considered her husband's foolishness, she told the story to all her friends. Soon, everyone was laughing at Prathik. "What a fool Prathik is! He found a heap of treasure but did not grab it."
