Let Prathibha weight at first = x kg

Reduced age ( l ) = 15%

After losing the weight her new

Weight = 59.5kg

New weight

=original weight (100-l)/100

59.5 = x( 100 - 15 )/100

59.5 = 85x/100

( 59.5 × 100 )/85 = x

70 = x

Therefore ,

Prathibha weight at first = x = 70 kg

Then,

x - 15% of x = 59.5

=> x - 15x/100 = 59.5

=> (100x - 15x) = 5950

=> 85x = 5950

=> x = 5950/85

=> x = 70

Pratibha's weight was 70 kg
