Pravara and Pranhita are two main tributaries of the River Godavari of Maharashtra.  Pravara, the smallest tributary of Godavari, is situated on the right bank of the river whereas Pranhita is situated on the left bank of this river.  There are 7 tributaries of this river which starts from Nashik in Western Ghats, Maharashtra.
