Given :

  • Total rupees praveen has = Rs. 4662

  • In which there were 2 , 5 and 10 Rupees notes.

Assuming the notes are in ratio of 3:5:8

To find :

  • Total no. of Rs. 5 notes

Solution:

Let x to be included in the ratio then 3x , 5x and 8x

Let the no. of Rs 2 , Rs 5 and Rs 10 be 3x , 5x and 8x

Now According to question,

3x × 2 + 5x × 5 + 10x × 8 = Rs. 4662

= 6x + 25x + 80x = Rs.4662

= 111x = Rs. 4662

=> x = Rs. 4662/111

x = Rs. 42

Now finding the no. of all Rs. 2 , Rs. 5 and Rs.10 notes

No. of Rs.2 notes = 3× 42 = 126

No. of Rs.5 notes = 5 × 42 = 210

No. of Rs.10 notes = 8 × 42= 336

In question, it is asking the no. of Rs. 5 notes

= 210

ǫᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Praveen has rupees 4662 in the from of 2 and 5, 10 rupees notes. if these notes are in the ratio of 3:5:8 .

Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Total money = 4662

  • Dimensions of money = 2 , 5 and 10

  • Ratio of money = 3 : 5 : 8

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Number of 5-rupee notes

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let the ratio of number of notes be 'x'

Then,

According to Question

Number of 2-Rupee notes = 3x

Number of 5-rupee notes = 5x

Number of 10-rupee notes = 8x

Now,

Sum of money = 4662

By adding all rupees with their number of notes we get,

2 × 3x + 5 × 5x + 10 × 8x = 4662

6x + 25x + 80x = 4662

111x = 4662

x = 4662/111 = 42

Hence,

Number of 5-rupee notes = 5 × 42 = 210

\bold{Number \ of \ 5-rupee \ notes \ is \ 210}
