Mango showers are that rains, which are called pre-monsoon showers. This pre-monsoon rain is also called summer rain or April rain. This rainfall occurs in many parts of the southern states of India especially Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Pre-monsoon showers when there are thunderstorms in the Bay of Bengal help in the ripening of mangoes, as it is the mango season. That is why this rain is known as 'Mango Shower'.

This rain is convective rain. During the summer season, the sun moves in the north direction. Due to this, the temperature of the Sun increases in some places. This local temperature causes the traditional rise of air and hence pre-monsoon rainfall. This rain is known as Mango Shower as it helps in the ripening of the mango crop.
