Tarun was a 12 year old boy.He was average in his studies. He had no artistic qualities. But he was a good athlete. He wanted to be the fastest runner in the world. But he had no idea how to achieve his goal, as his family had no money to send him to practice. His parents hated his running and wanted him to concentrate on his studies. When he failed in the exam he was teased by everyone. Ram Narayan told Tarun that he would train him on one condition, he should win the race that was going to be conducted in Nehru Park on the Children's day. He decided to win the race. He wanted to show his father that he was not the black sheep of the family. When the race started, Tarun saw himself far ahead of everybody. He felt proud of himself. But he fell down. Without wasting a moment he got up and ran once again. He fell down 2 more times. But he had a special mind - set up. So he got up and finished the race. When he crossed the finishing line last, the whole crowd cheered him for his determination and valour.

He tried hard to complete the race . He becomes a model sportsman by his strong determination to win the . Tarun is a real life hero who does hard work and practised vigorously to reach his goal . It is the passion within him that keeps him to rise everytime he falls . He is enthusiastic and self motivated.
