● Young Modulus experiment -
- Young's modulus is measure of stiffness of the material
- It's measured by Searl's apparatus.
● Precautions taken -
- Added load should be within elastic limits.
- Wait for few seconds after loading/unloading for elongation of wire before taking reading.
- While taking reading, micrometer screw should be rotated in the same direction.
- Control wire is to be kept taut by fixed force.
