Electrogravimetry is a technique in analytical chemistry in which a compound is precipitated from its solution by employing an electric current . Following are the precautions that should be considered during this method:
- The glass measuring device should be perfectly calibrated.
- The avoid the risk of loss, the amount of transfer of liquids should be as small as possible.
- During the washing of precipitate, avoid over-washing
- Precipitation should be free from contamination of other substances.
- During filtration, size of the filter paper should be smaller than the size of the funnel.
