- make sure students are wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment like chemical splash goggles, laboratory apperance of coats and gloves
- in force all safety rules and procedures at all times
- never leave students unsupervised in the lab
- never allow any unauthorised visitors to enter the lab
- no locations of laboratory safety shoes, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers etc.
- no emergency exit route
- avoid skin and eye contact with all chemicals
- no horseplay are tolerated
- assume that all chemicals of unknown toxicity are highly toxic
