Answer:

(d)

Explanation:

The factors depend upon accuracy of measuring a physical quantity.

1. Least count of the meaning instrument. It is the smallest measurement that can be measured accurately by using that instrument. It must be very less.

2. Parallax error by the observer. It is an error in reading an instrument due to the eye of the observer and the pointer are not in a line perpendicular to the plane of the scale.

3. Measuring range of measuring instruments. Minimum and maximum limits of measuring.

4. Calculation of zero errors

5.Using of units. We must standard units.

6. Using statistical methods if any.

Precision of measurement depends upon (d)all of the above.

These are some factors on which accuracy of measuring a physical quantity depends:

1. Least count of the meaning instrument.

  • Least count is the smallest measurement that can be measured accurately by using that instrument. It must be very less otherwise the results will be inaccurate.

2.  Carefulness of observer(Parallax error by the observer).

  • Parallax error is an error in reading an instrument which occurs due to the eye of the observer. When the pointer and eye of the observer are not in a line perpendicular to the plane of the scale, this error occurs.

3.  Temperature of the surrounding.

  • Normally, experiments must be done at room temperatures. Extreme temperatures can lead to extension or contraction of the devices.
