No it is not possible that the sun will look white in colour in the time of sunset and sunrise. It's general colours are red , yellow and orange.

Well This phenomenon is due to dispersion of light by the atmosphere. Since at noon sun is overhead thus sunlight travels less distance in atmosphere resulting in less dispersion and you see the sun in almost white colour.
