The favourite condition to get the maximum yield of the reaction N2+O2=2NO can be determined by a equation

• We all know that ∆G= ∆H– T∆S

here in the case of the reaction is happened between nitrogen And oxygen and the product is nitric oxide

and in this reaction ∆H ,∆S are both positive ,. so the reaction is thermodynamically favourable at high temperatures such as in lighting but not at low temperature.

• If the temperature drops from high to room temperature, after formation of nitric oxide ,it would be thermodynamically favourable forNO to decompose nitrogen and oxygen
