When cyclohexanecarbaldehyde is reacted with Zinc amalgam and dilute hydrochloric acid will give out methylcyclohexane.
The zinc amalgam will be Zn/Hg – Hcl which will be elenimenen reduction.
It will give out the six carbon atom ring.
One of the atom of C will be connected with a CH3 molecules to give the end product.
