A Bacteriophage is a virus that replicates inside the bacteria.
A virus is a nucleoprotein and the genetic material is infectious . Viruses that infect plants have single stranded RNA and viruses that infect animals have either double stranded RNA or double stranded DNA.

The Bacteriophage is a virus that infect bacteria. Their protein coat is made up of nucleic acid .

Various viral diseases are - AIDS , small pox , influenza etc..
