A 'green corridor' (also known as wildlife corridor, biological corridor or habitat corridor) is a strip of land that is established to enable the bridging of habitat populations that have been split by human development such as a road, settlement or other human activity.Green corridors are made by combined efforts of traffic police and local cops who ensure that organs being transported by ambulance for transplantation reach their destination in the shortest possible time. Personnel are stationed at selected points to divert, control and clear the traffic giving way to the ambulance.
