Duphaston is a medication tablet which is used to produce a synthetic progesterone, which is in normal condition a naturally occurring sex hormone in the female. Duphaston is used to treat a range of menstrual disorders that occur due to the deficiency or lack of hormones. It is also used in reducing the risks associated with abortions and miscarriages. Duphaston is thought to be useful in helping with fertility as well. Its usage has side effects similar to pregnancy such as, breast pain, nausea and bloating etc. It is discontinued in many parts of the world due to possible harmful side effects.
