Prem runs around a square park of side 80m. Sunil runs around a rectangular park having length 65mand width 55m. Who runs a greater distance.
Solve= Prem runs around a square park
Side=80m.
Perimeter=side×side.
=80m×80m.
P=6400m.
And sunil runs around a rectangular.
Length =65m.
Breath =55m.
Perimeter =2( L+B ).
=2( 65+55 ).
=2×120.
=240m.
Since,6400m >240m.
Hence prem covers more distance

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Prem

Perimeter   of a square park  =  4a

                                                = 4 x 80

                                                = 320 m

Sunil

Perimeter of rectangle  =  2 (l+b)

                                      =  2 ( 65 +55)

                                        = 2 x 120

                                       = 240 m

Prem runs greater distance than Sunil
