HI

HERE IZ UR ANSWER.

This law comes under PCPNDT law which was formed back in 1994.
Sex determination was banned seeing the declining sex ratio rapidly.

As people were illiterate that time and didnt know the importance of girl child, they used to force doctors do pre natal sex determination test.
On basis of result, if there was girl child in mother's womb , then they would forced the mother to kill the baby in the womb only.

This activity was really common and due to which sex ratio declined at great pace.

This was why this law was made to restrict female foeticides in India..

HOPE IT HELPS..

parental sex is prohibited by law because nowadays in India the birth of girl child is meant to be occurs in our life and due to this there are many killing of a girl child after birth and due to the involvement of Medical Science in sex determination many people are trying to get the news of boy or girl in future so that they can kill the foetus so Supreme Court has prohibited this.
