I think these are the methods
CH3Br+CH2CuLi→CH3-CH3+CH3-Cu+LiBr
we can prepare ethene by saytzeff's rule
CH3-CH2Br+C2H5OH /C2H5OK → CH2=CH2
CH3Br+CH2CuLi→CH3-CH3+CH3-Cu+LiBr
we can prepare ethene by saytzeff's rule
CH3-CH2Br+C2H5OH /C2H5OK → CH2=CH2

● Bromoethane to ethene -
Bromoethane on treatment with alcoholic potassium hydroxide gives ethene.
CH3-CH2-Br + alc.KOH --> CH2=CH2 + KBr + H2O
● Bromoethane to ethane -
For this, we'll first convert bromoethane to ethene.
CH3-CH2-Br + alc.KOH --> CH2=CH2 + KBr + H2O
Ethene is then reduced to ethane with Ni/H2.
CH2=CH2 + H2 --> CH3-CH3
