Body language is extremely important in making a good impression as well as for doing good job and work.
Body language is actually a form of non-verbal type of communication in which you make the gesture  , facial expression etc whether intentionally or un-intentionally . This is very important at work , for example if you are a good manager you will have the power of motivating employees by just words and a smile on the face.
There are many gestures involved in our daily life telling the people about us. If you are teacher  if you don't communicate through body language   you will fail to attract the  students.

Body language is a form of communication using expressions, posture, and gestures. It is as important as verbal communication. A few reasons why body language plays a significant role in a work place are:

# Maintain a straight posture to give people an impression on how confident you are as an individual and gain more respect among your colleagues. Retain this posture both while sitting and standing.

# Maintain eye contact with the person you are talking or who is talking to you is crucial as it gives the impression that you are not interested in the conversation.

# Take care not to cross your arms or legs when attending a business meeting. Doing so gives an impression that you are feeling insecure. Maintain eye level when sitting or standing and keep your hands at the back.

# Use a low voice when talking. A low voice gives the impression that you are contended and knowledgeable than when you talk in a high pitch.
