A 9 to 12 years old child needs different nutrients in his diet. He has to input carbohydrate, proteins, fats, vitamins, dietary fibers, minerals and plenty of water in his diet list. Cereals and grains contain carbohydrates; fish, milk, egg, meat etc contain protein; butter, oil, cheese, dry fruits contain fats; various sprouts, fruits and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals; dietary fibers are found in fruits, vegetables and whole wheat bran.
